I mainly teach English at the primary level in Singapore and I also work with students taking IB English and Literature HL. Spending time with learners across different age groups has taught me that the best tutoring happens when I listen more than I talk.

My priority is to help students build genuine motivation and confidence rather than drilling for short term test scores. Since every child learns differently I avoid using a one size fits all approach. Instead I pay attention to how each student responds and adjust my explanations and strategies accordingly.

For younger students I use stories and everyday topics to spark their interest in expressing themselves. For those preparing for IB HL I guide them through unpacking texts layer by layer and sharpening their argumentation skills. After each session I give parents a clear update on what was covered and what we will focus on next.
